Abstract: | This study explores the experiences of lecturers working with undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds with low academic skills. A qualitative study involving interviews with fifteen (15) participants from three (3) Public universities was used to gain information around participants' views on teaching and learning in relation to undergraduate courses. The findings suggest that lecturers face profound teaching challenges which affects how they teach, the way they structure their courses, and the way they evaluate students. Recommendations were made to address the dilemma and challenges in higher education system. |
