Abstract: Several personalities in various ways have made important contributions to this research. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my supervisors, Professor Kwaku Adutwum Boakye and Professor Francis Eric Amuquandoh for their immense contribution to this thesis through their guidance, constructive criticisms, stimulating discussion, tremendous encouragement and the goodwill with which they guided this work.
