Abstract: The study examined job satisfaction on employees’ turnover intention at the North Tongu District Assembly of Ghana. Specifically, three research objectives were investigated; to assess the level of job satisfaction of employees at the North Tongu District Assembly; to assess the perception level of employees of turnover intentions at the North Tongu District Assembly; and to examine the effect of job satisfaction on employees’ turnover intention at the North Tongu District Assembly of Ghana. The study employed the quantitative approach and descriptive correlational design. A structured questionnaire was used to gather data from 86 respondents at the North Tongu District Assembly of Ghana. The data was then processed using the IBM SPSS Statistics (version 26). Both descriptive (mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (regression) were used to address issues in the study. The study found that there was a low level of job satisfaction and high turnover intentions among the employees in the District Assembly. The study also found a negative significant effect of job satisfaction on turnover intention of the employees. The study, therefore, recommended that the District Chief Executives and Coordinating Directors should occasionally hold dialogues with the employees to discuss issues about their job.
