<description>When information technology meets health care in West Africa: A literature review
Marful, Welborn Amoako; Winter, Alfred
This paper presents the study and analysis of some articles that were selected according to their potential contributions to the introduction of information technology (IT) in the Healthcare industry in West Africa. A total of nineteen papers published in various journals were analyzed after their titles and abstracts were reviewed. &#13;
Objective: The aim of this paper is to find out on how the introduction of information technology can transform the healthcare delivery in West Africa.&#13;
Methods: Keywords were used to select online articles that focus on the ways in which the use of information technology has improved or is yet to improve the provision of better healthcare in West Africa.&#13;
Results and Conclusions: Information technology has a very bright future for healthcare managers, practitioners and the industry as a whole in West Africa when all the known challenges either politically-based or economy-based are removed

<title>Using E-governance to unlock corruption and bribery in Ghana. A literature review</title>

<description>Using E-governance to unlock corruption and bribery in Ghana. A literature review
Amaoko, WelBorn; Marful, Isaac Brako
Corruption has become a social, political, and economic canker which is wreaking havoc in many countries both advanced and developing. The phenomenon continues to assume many new dimensions in modern times and for this reason, modern strategies have to be found to tackle it head on. The adoption of e-governance has proven to be one of the effective means to curb the menace, especially in developing countries. E-governance involves application of ICT for government with an aim of improving the efficiency with which citizens receive services. E-governance also helps in dealing with corruption&#13;
through increased accountability, eliminating gatekeepers or minimizing interaction of civil servants and citizens and increased transparency. Corruption reduces foreign direct investment (FDI), diverts government meant for providing development projects to non-beneficial investments and thus rewards development. Thus, corruption leads to increased poverty and with e-governance it is possible to reduce the problem. Use of e-governance in reducing corruption is more beneficial for developing countries than it is for developed countries

<description>Towards a conceptual framework for the implementation, integration and content integrity of web 2.0 technologies in higher educational institutions
Yussiff, Alimatu-Saadia; Ahmad, Wan Fatimah Wan; Yussiff, Abdul-Lateef
The need to implement and adopt web 2.0 technologies into teaching and learning is glaring for higher educational institutions. This is because there are increase numbers of students’visà-vis teaching staff, competition for resources, over-crowded classroom, the need for efficient teaching and learning, as well as the need to learn anytime and anywhere. However, it’s of no doubt that every technology comes with its menace that users need to be aware of and acquainted with. This call for adequate and efficient security measures, ethical use of web 2.0 tools, as well as ensuring content integrity. This paper is a review of existing literatureson frameworksfor e-learning implementation, integration and ensuring content integrity. It also presents the results of a survey of web 2.0 technologies perceived benefits, weaknesses and challengesin teaching and learning within higher educational institutions using Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) as a case study

<title>The impact of electronic collaboration on learning outcomes</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/123456789/5919</link>
<description>The impact of electronic collaboration on learning outcomes
Yussif, Alimatu-Saadia; Ahmad, Wan Fatimah Wan; Mustapha, Emy Elyanee
Even though the effectiveness of e-collaboration has been empirically confirmed, some researchers and educators still find it a challenge in leading to meaningful learning outcomes. The main goal of this study is to explore the relationship between e-collaborative learning experience and students learning outcomes with moderating and mediating effects of social, teaching and cognitive presences. The study intends to investigate whether e-collaborative learning experience with social, teaching and cognitive presences as the mediator and moderator constructs are predictors of students learning outcomes. The Community of Inquiry (CoI) survey instrument, collaborative learning questionnaire and pre-test post-test questions were used to collect data through an experimental research design involving 60 students. The results show that the constructs of the hypothesized model are reliable and valid. The results from structural equation modeling also demonstrated that e-collaborative learning experience strongly predict learning outcomes indirectly through the mediating and moderating effects of the three presences
